Weight is the factor that separates a dog from every other pet here. None of these are prices — they are what to raise when you ask for an estimate.

The biggest driver of the aftercare half. US crematories publish weight-band tables, so a 12-pound terrier and a 130-pound mastiff sit far apart for the same cremation.
At the clinic or at home
A home visit means the vet travels to you, so practices usually add a call-out fee. For a large or immobile dog, many families find it the practical choice as well as the gentler one.

Does a bigger dog cost more?

The veterinary fee is far less size-sensitive — the appointment is much the same regardless — though sedation dosing can differ. Ask which band your dog falls into before you compare quotes.
